I was down in D.C. visiting friends this weekend. We talked about the in-coming Democratic majority in Congress. They said, they don't care about you.

John Lennon had it right; Television is the opiate of the masses.
How sad for America. Instead of reality, the majority of Americans believe TV propoganda. That is the incredible sadness of America. It has lost touch with concrete reality. It prefers the false spectacle of the screen. It's people can be told any sort of lie and they will believe it as truth.
How can George Bush live with himself? Actually I know, he's got the most refined approach to self delusion that has ever existed. He set's the tone for this country and guess what, the US is now paranoid and delusional. We don't need to look for enemies outside, they are within us. We are suffocating in our own delusions. I have a midwestern republican friend who hates all the black people on welfare up north in the big cities and on the coasts. When I told him I supported the end of all government subsidies inluding farm subsidies he balked. He said that he knew of farmers who wouldn't make it without subsidies. The war mongering racist lunatics are in control of the USA.
The spectacle of late capitalist propoganda is that you can go to a movie like V for Vendetta and watch a revolution happen. This of course makes you feel as if you have freedom and that the present government is not as bad as the one in the movies. Ha Ha! What a joke.
